An exciting and challenging role within one of the world's leading banking institutions has emerged. Working closely with the EU Head of Tax you will take on significant responsibility, namely all compliance and reporting activity for the bank as well as being heavily involved in various planning projects and play a crucial role in decision making on tax issues as they arise. You will be taking responsibility for all compliance and reporting matters, this will primarily be European based incorporating not just corporation tax but also VAT a tax matters. This will see you highlight areas of tax risk, monitor accounting treatment of transactions and support other business areas on tax impacts. Alongside side this you will undertake a large amount of ad hoc project work, taking complete responsibility for these as they arise.
You will be ACA/ ACCA qualified or equivalent with experience of the financial services sector. The role requires someone with an excellent knowledge of accounting principles and tax legislation (corporate tax, VAT, income tax etc). You will have prior experience of managing the tax basis, HMRC liaison and tax audit. Roles with such scope and challenge rarely come along so please do get in touch if it is of interest.
