The role
As an Assistant Manager/Senior Associate in our Corporate Tax group you will have plentiful opportunities to broaden your client experience and technical knowledge. Your role will be truly varied involving clients across all industry sectors from Plc's to Entrepreneurial Businesses. You will be exposed to tax technical work including M&A, transfer pricing, property, tax depreciation, financing and international tax planning. At this level we want to encourage you to develop technical skills and knowledge across a number of different areas with a particular emphasis on international corporate tax.
You will have early client responsibility, being seen as an important member of client teams and encouraged to build client relationships to enable you to take a lead in some aspects of the Corporate Tax engagement. You will also be given the opportunity to manage a small number of your own Corporate Tax Compliance clients to develop your client relationship and engagement management skills.
Your work will include preparation of corporation tax computations and returns, preparation of tax numbers for inclusion in statutory accounts, tax audit work, technical research, assisting with tax planning, cross border transactions, mergers and acquisitions and international tax advice. You will also have the chance to become involved in proposals or targeting of key clients to generate new work.

The Bristol Corporate Tax team is made up of about 30 fee earners, so you will see all the benefits of being part of the UK Deloitte practice, while enjoying the atmosphere of working within a close-knit, friendly and supportive team.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who:
*Is currently under an ACA training contract or who has completed ATT and is studying for CTA.
*Has experience of working within a UK corporate tax department
*Is interested in doing more international corporate tax work (some current experience is ideal but not a pre-requisite)
*Has excellent interpersonal skills
*Has experience of assisting in developing and maintaining client relationships.
