Overview:
* Opportunity to join growing multinational pharmaceutical company based inDublin. In supporting the Tax Director the position will include transfer pricing, group tax accounting and compliance while supporting international tax projects & planning initiatives and other ad hoc tax project work.
* The successful candidate will report directly to and work very closely with the Group Head of Tax and will be based inDublin. There will also be regular interaction with bothDublinandUSfinance and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
* Preparation of annual transfer pricing reports and memos; maintaining intercompany agreements/documentation and monitoring all intercompany transactions/recharges.
* Supporting international tax projects/planning initiatives and other ad hoc tax projects including group restructuring/reorganisations/liquidations and acquisitions/disposals and other commercial transactions.
* Working with external advisors to effectively manage domestic and international tax projects and to exercise judgments on the tax treatment or the tactical approach to be adopted.
* Preparation of Global Tax Reporting for the Annual Report/20F under both USGAAP & IFRS (with support from in-houseUStax personnel/advisors).
* Assisting with the management of tax audits, including resolving audit issues and negotiating tax settlements.
* Research and review of Irish & International tax laws and USGAAP/IFRS tax accounting updates and assessing the impact on the business.
* Responsibility for Irish & Non-US tax compliance.
* Providing guidance and support to other departments within the group on technical tax issues including Employee Taxes, VAT etc.
* Responsibility for maintaining SOX internal tax controls and testing of same.
* Working with the in-house Treasury function to ensure cash movements within the group are properly documented and are structured in a tax efficient manner.
Requirements:
* AITI qualified and ideally ACA or ACCA.
* Candidates must have trained in a corporate tax department with the Big 4 or within a specialist tax practice.
* Strong Financial Tax Accounting experience in US GAAP and IFRS
* Good understanding of all tax heads including CT; Withholding taxes ;CGT; Stamp Duty; PAYE; VAT etc. and be familiar with double tax treaties.
* Experience in researching and analyzing domestic and international tax issues (including cross-border acquisitions and disposals).
