An organisation renowned for continued growth through new business wins across the globe has an opportunity for an established tax professional to join the company as it continues to expand.
Joining as Group Tax Manager, you will provide tax advice and oversight of compliance both within the UK and overseas with a particular focus on the EMEA region and potentially Asia Pac.
This newly created role, reports into the FD and Group Finance Manager so the ability to use initiative to pro-actively look for opportunities to maximise taxation benefits in business regions around the world is essential. In addition to the advisory element of this role, you will implement and monitor efficient tax processes, policies and procedures to ensure the group meets its compliance obligations.
Raising the general awareness of Tax across the group is also going to be important so you will be responsible for briefing relevant departments and individuals on changes and/or introductions of taxation legislation. As an advisor across the business, this role will involve actively participating in reviewing markets, projects, business proposals, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures where taxation may be a relevant factor.
An accountancy background, ACA/ACCA or equivalent is important along with a proven track record of dealing successfully with HMRC. You will have experience working in a UK group function and ideally part of your previous experience will be internationally focused so you will relish the chance to leave your footprint within the tax direction globally. Interpersonally you will feel comfortable liaising with a range of people across the business at varying levels.
