Job Description
As a SALT M&A Tax Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
•Performing multi-disciplinary and multi-state due diligence on behalf of private equity and strategic buyer clients
•Interviewing target management
•Identifying transfer taxes triggered by a proposed transaction, and using these findings to draft reports
•Reviewing state and local tax aspects of financial models and assisting clients with calculating effective state tax rates
•Researching and drafting technical memoranda regarding multi-disciplinary state and local tax matters
•Supervising, mentoring, and developing staff
•Small amounts of travel may be needed
Required Skills
•3+ years experience in performing tax research and providing advice on multi-state tax issues
•Experience in multi-disciplinary state and local tax due diligence, and drafting reports based on findings
•Excellent client service skills
•Tax research and planning
•Due diligence
•Mergers and Acquisitions experience
