This is an excellent opportunity for a Tax & Legal Manager to join the team based in southernItaly. Reporting directly to the Vice President, General Counsel Europe and to the Tax Director,Southern Europe, you will be responsible for the tax and legal affairs of the Italian group.
Your specific responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing tax computations for each Italian company and review of the consolidated Italian tax return;
* Supervising of the Italian VAT returns;
* Advising the team and finance controllers of the Italian companies on Italian tax issues on an ad hoc basis;
* Managing Italian tax audits and potential claims, settlements and litigation;
* Ensuring compliance of the Italian group with the Sarbanes Oxley ('SOX') tax controls;
* Advising the Vice President, General Counsel Europe on relevant Italian legal issues on an ad hoc basis; and,
* Managing potential legal claims, settlements and litigation.
The position will involve regular travel to various sites inItalyin order to build a strong relationship with the business unit finance controllers and the businesses. Good communication skills and an ability work with autonomy are vital to the role. Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles would be a distinct advantage.
The Tax and Legal Manager,Italyshould have extensive experience in a tax and/or legal function in a Law Firm and/or an industrial group based inItaly.
In addition to being a native Italian speaker, you should also possess excellent English language skills.
