The European tax function (based in London) provides value added, commercial, proactive support to businesses across a wide range of countries and operates as an integrated part of the company’s global tax team.
This high-profile tax team currently has an excellent opportunity for a Tax Accountant whose responsibilities will include:
• Preparation of the quarterly US GAAP and annual UK GAAP statutory reporting for the UK business segments;
• Review of the quarterly tax calculations for European group companies’ management reporting submissions;
• Responsibility for the UK tax compliance process, including the preparation and lodging of tax returns, maintaining the relationship with HMRC and identifying and implementing process improvements;
• Supporting the Tax Managers in working with European group companies to understand their tax compliance processes in order to ensure adherence to appropriate internal compliance controls;
• Responding to ad hoc queries from the businesses.
Person
• You will be ACA/CTA-qualified or equivalent or qualified through experience.
• You will have strong tax accounting skills and a working knowledge of corporation tax in the UK or a similar jurisdiction.
• In addition, some experience of tax reporting would be advantageous.
• You will also have strong commercial and analytical skills combined with the interpersonal ability to forge links with both internal clients and external professional advisors.
