The fantastic opportunity will involve working as part of the UK tax team based within the finance department of a US group. The bias will initially be towards corporate tax although there will be opportunity to develop your skills in other taxes.
1. The compliance process for the 40 UK companies. This will involve:
* Preparation of the corporation and deferred tax provisions for statutory accounts purposes
* Preparation of the Corporation Tax computations for submission to Revenue and Customs using Alpha tax software.
* Review of the tax computations and deferred tax provisions for those companies not prepared in house.
* Drafting responses to HMRC queries in respect of submitted computations
* Preparation of quarterly payment on account calculations
* Preparation of the quarterly reporting packs for reporting the results of the UK companies to US parent
* Preparing budget and forecast tax figures

The role would suit an ACA and CTA qualified individual and a strong corporate tax background. Good accounting skills and experience of other taxes including VAT would be an advantage as would good excel skills, experience of Alphatax and knowledge of Oracle.
