Head of R&D Tax
Compensation: c.£100k-£140k base salary plus an attractive bonus
Hybrid: c.4 days in the office, Central London based
Eton Bridge Partners is working in partnership with a with a fast paced, growing Financial Services boutique consultancy, based in London, to appoint their new Head of R&D Tax. Reporting into the CTO, this role will sit on the senior leadership team, and require a strong technical candidate with experience in managing a team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Leadership of the team including hiring, mentoring and training along with development.
· Inclusion in team budgeting and forecasting of team output revenues on a monthly and annual basis.
· Further develop robust claim methodologies to support R&D Tax Incentive claims that will be submitted to HMRC. i.e. managing overall client engagement, identify and mitigate any risks and overseeing the technical and costing aspects.
· Review documentation to support the R&D Tax Incentive claims, including technical and financial deliverables along with complex calculations.
· Work with the Compliance team to respond to HMRC enquiries into R&D Tax Incentive claims.
Candidate Profile:
· Ideally 6-10 years experience in R&D Tax
· Looking for Senior Manager / Director level
· Must have experience managing a team
· A background in Engineering/ Technology/ Finance
· Proven track record working across a diverse range of industries
· Strong technical skills / Numbers driven
· Strategic focus, drive forward ideas
· Knowledge of wider innovation incentive regimes (e.g. Patent Box, Grants and/or Capital Allowances) would be advantageous
