Indirect Tax Associate, Innovative Marketing Company, London, to £70k

A exciting new Indirect Tax Associate role has become available at an innovative Marketing group based in Central London. It is a rare opportunity to build an Indirect Tax function to their liking.

In this newly defined Indirect Tax Associate position you will be responsible for executing and managing the groups indirect tax compliance, accounting and reporting processes globally, overseeing processes and services operated by local finance teams, external tax providers, external advisers, and local start-up teams.

Key responsibilities

* To play a key role and support the global tax manager in developing indirect tax guidelines, and in educating internal and external stakeholders on tax matters, optimising benefits gained and minimising risk
* Manage the service relationship with the external tax service provider on an operational level. Review services for indirect tax payments, tax compliance reporting and VAT returns on a regular basis, ensuring compliance issues are flagged and actioned as necessary
* Act as first point of contact and manage query resolution for all indirect tax matters, identifying training requirements and delivering training to the wider team where required
* Monitor global indirect tax policies in strategic markets and manage the communication of changes. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Transfer Pricing documentation

Key requirements

* Experience in and strong knowledge of various indirect tax regimes including UK / US and international VAT issues and sales taxes and other taxes such as property and environmental tax
* Experience of executing or reviewing indirect tax accounting and returns
* Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy whilst meeting strict deadlines
* Ability to communicate confidently & effectively (business, service providers, auditors
