Tax Manager, Financial Services Institution, to £65k

A unique opportunity to join a Financial Services institution in a newly created Tax Manager role based in Central London. This is a greenfield position, as such you will be relied upon to work closely with internal and external stakeholders in a commercial manner.

In this completely new and greenfield Tax Manager role you will provide quality and timely tax advisory services in relation to direct investments (during the acquisition, asset management and disposal phase of the investment cycle), to coordinate strategic tax initiatives for all investments across Europe, and to comply with the group tax policy and maintain an acceptable level of tax risk.

Key responsibilities

* Work with the Legal and Investment teams to provide tax advice in relation to the firms direct investments at all stages of the investment cycle
* Coordinate tax planning initiatives across Europe while maintaining Group tax policy and manage tax risk
* Oversee, review and optimise tax structuring opportunities within the firms portfolio
* Regularly report to senior management in regards to relevant new and proposed legislative changes which may impact the firm
* Manage relationships with local tax authorities, including HMRC

Key requirements

* Degree qualified, CA/Masters of Tax or Chartered Tax Advisor (or overseas equivalent)
* Experience in Tax Advisory and Real Estate/infrastructure transactions with, if possible, a Pan European structuring background
* Experience in tax due diligence, tax audit and on-going tax compliance a bonus
