As a key member of the Dundee tax department, you will take responsibility for running a portion of the busy corporate tax compliance portfolio consisting of over 550 companies. Beyond this you will also provide proactive advice to clients on implementing tax efficient structures, in accordance with HMRC guidelines.

Core accountabilities include:

• Managing a team of four individuals supporting the Tax Partner where appropriate
• Reviewing the work of junior members of the team, providing feedback on performance and coaching to improve team knowledge and
promote efficiencies
• Managing the corporate tax compliance cycle, client WIP and any deadlines efficiently
• Identifying client tax planning opportunities from the CT compliance review

We are looking for a qualified and experienced business tax professional whom alongside a relevant tax technical background and qualification (CA/CTA/ACCA or qualified HM Tax Inspector), can demonstrate the following experience/attributes:

Technical:
• Experience of working on groups of companies
• Ability and knowledge in areas of international taxation
• Awareness/experience of R&D claims
• Awareness/experience of Capital Allowances claims
• Experience of working on and with HMRC on inquiry cases
• Competent user of Alphatax and/or other software packages

Personal Qualities/Competencies:
• Superior report writing skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate complex principles to a non-tax audience (seminars/lecturing)
• Strong team player with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Self-motivated and driven to progress and succeed
• Future leadership potential
