We are looking for a Manager to work in our growing research and Development (R&D) Tax Credits team, which delivers innovation incentive projects across our diverse client base, including privately-owned, entrepreneurial, family business and a growing number of Inbounds.

Are you...
A self-starter who has experience of managing and coaching junior team members?
Experienced in being out in the market in direct contact with clients and contacts, specifically in relation to R&D Tax Credits?
A team player prepared to assist colleagues with a range of tasks if required and to maintain the teams’ excellent service to clients at all times?
Able to prioritise workloads efficiently to cope with high volumes of work to deadlines and meet the changing needs of clients?

About the role
Responsibilities include:

Manage a challenging and varied portfolio of R&D Tax Credit projects.
Lead and drive business development activities both in respect of their own client base and out in the market.
Taking the lead in the support and development of more junior staff
Managing and controlling deliverables and deadlines and project finances.
Front line involvement in new business generation including problem solving for business/client specific ideas and solutions
Involvement in networking events, proposal meetings and marketing seminars
Managing introductions to other parts of the firm e.g. Legal, Deals, VAT, HR Services.

RequirementsEssential skills needed for the role:

ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent experience (legal or accountancy qualifications).
Strong knowledge of R&D tax credits, Patent Box and Capital Allowances.
Excellent client handling skills and team working skills.
A desire to lead in business development and help grow the practice in the local marketplace.
People management and project management experience.
A good level of commercial awareness and financial management.
Business development skills with an astute commercial acumen.
