Overview
This globally-focussed position at a leading oil and gas multinational reports directly into the Head of Trade Compliance. Based at their headquarters, you would be involved in all activities related to Trade Compliance across APAC, EMEA and the US.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse relevant sanctions, trade and export control laws globally
- Identify risks and propose risk mitigation actions and sanctions guidance to the business
- Undertake third-party screening and due diligence reviews
- Review and edit customer/supplier contracts and documentation to ensure they contain appropriate and acceptable Trade Compliance provisions
- Secure, monitor, and renew export licenses
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain Trade Compliance policies and procedures
- Main point of contact for Government authorities / Business Partners / Suppliers / Customers
- Support internal/external auditors in their assessment of Trade Compliance rules, policies and procedures
- Provide support to Supply Chain/Operations and export control classifications for customs/import/export purposes
Your Experience
- In-depth knowledge of relevant topics, such as: international sanctions; export control; contracts; risk; Trade compliance or Customs/import/export
- Experience in drafting and review of contracts to identify and mitigate compliance risks
- Fluent written and spoken English
