In-house Senior VAT Specialist --- Prague (Internationally mobile applicants welcomed from anywhere in Europe)

Our client is global market leader in its industry and this is an opportunity to join at an interesting time, in this newly created VAT position. The role is based in Prague in Czech Republic. The majority of the work will be providing professional VAT compliance service to the client’s customers and performing controls over it, as well as leading VAT compliance related projects and process improvements initiatives.

This position plays a critical part in the company's periodical VAT end-to-end reporting and VAT balance reconciliation process. This includes VAT returns, EC Purchase/Sales Listings, other VAT related reporting and statistical returns. The role also provides guidance to other departments on VAT related matters and leads projects impacting VAT compliance processes.

Suitable candidates will have around 4 years of VAT experience and a strong knowledge of European VAT laws. Some knowledge of SAP would be beneficial. Strong technical skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Clear communication in English is essential.
