Income Tax Senior, Boart Longyear - Salt Lake City, UT

Boart Longyearis seeking an Income Tax Senior to join the tax department to assist with the preparation of U.S. and International tax returns and provisions and support tax planning, transfer pricing and other research and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, tax accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience with a large accounting firm or equivalent corporate tax department with knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of corporate income taxation.
• Proficiency in Corptax or international tax a strong plus.
• Must be able to perform tax research and analysis necessary to support positions that are taken on projects and tax returns.

Additional Qualifications/skills:
• This position will follow established procedures and work under supervision in performing income taxation duties broad in nature in a team environment. The position will require the ability to identify and define problems, gather and review data, assess the risk of the alternatives, interpret the results, and effectively communicate the findings.
• Assist with ensuring that tax activities are compliant with corporate policies and procedures and that tax reserves are identified and accurately recorded.
• Must demonstrate strong time management skills and be able to effectively prioritize and complete multiple assignments/projects within established deadlines.
• Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and organized.
• Requires strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to identify and define problems, gather and review data, assess the alternatives, interpret the results, manage the risk, and effectively communicate findings.
• Must be able to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other individuals and teams inside and outside the tax department.
• Must be able to follow established procedures while performing assigned tasks.
• Other duties as needed
