This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic individual with experience providing international tax support with a focus on supporting the operations and businesses within EMEA.
The candidate will work closely with Finance and other partners based in EMEA, the US and members of the Tax Team to provide international tax support for on-going and new business initiatives. This will include internal planning, restructuring initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, tax compliance and tax controversies.
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, evidencing strong initiative to directly liaise with local controllers and the business to gain a deep understanding of our vision and drive the development of comprehensive tax solutions.
The candidate will report to the Regional Tax Director for EMEA based in London and will focus on the management of a portfolio of countries within the EMEA region. Responsibilities will include:
* Working on Planning initiatives and cross-regional projects, including M&A and internal restructurings;
* Providing tax support relating to operational changes within the business operations of the entities;
* Reviewing the US quarterly and annual Income Tax Reporting packages prepared by local finance;
* Assisting local finance and external advisors in the completion of annual Transfer Pricing Compliance requirements for local countries;
* Providing support to external providers to ensure completion of local tax returns as required;
* Maintaining an awareness of all significant tax changes which impact the region and working with the team and external advisors to proactively manage these changes;
* Providing assistance with corporate tax audits/transfer pricing audits in EMEA; &
* Collaborating with local finance and tax colleagues in the management of tax risk in EMEA.
What you'll need to succeed
Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications:
* Minimum of 8 years tax experience
* Great communication skills
* Demonstrated knowledge of several tax systems and strong transfer pricing knowledge
* Ability to work independently, manage diverse stakeholders
* Collaborative working style
* Experience with leading tax projects from inception to completion
* Strong understanding of US GAAP
* In house experience would be beneficial
