A global bank are looking for a qualified tax advisor and analytical thinker to join their tax team and support the Global Product Management function within their Securities Services business. The incumbent of the role will work within a small team in Product tax, to help deliver tax advice on products/services.
The Global Product Management team is responsible for the definition, design and maintenance of products and services across key markets to achieve revenue growth, cost management and global standards. The Product Management team represent: Global Custody and Fund Services; Corporate Trust & Loan Agency; Global Trustee & Fiduciary Services; and Banks and Broker Servicing.
Key responsibilities
* The job holder will provide exceptional diligence, core industry and technical product and/or service delivery knowledge, numerical and relationship management skills across the business
* Adopting the product management & development methodology and supporting outputs from the phases of initiation, definition, analysis; design; business case; and post product live maintenance management
* Requirements gathering and definition by means of contact from multiple sources
* Analysis documentation and impacts on Product & Operating Model by means of dialogue with cross functional teams and industry sources
* Product design documentation and finalisation of target product model and estimation of deployment
* Close interaction with Change Management, Service delivery, IT and relevant functional teams to respond to questions and oversee the shape of development & delivery
* Support periodic reviews of product roadmaps in collaboration with product and sector heads to determine 3 to 5 year developments
* Continual assessment of operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and the impact of new technology
Key skills/qualifications
* A relevant tax/accounting qualification (e.g. ACA/CTA)
* Analytical thinking and an understanding of a product lifecycle methodology and deliverable
* Strong communication and relationship skills to interact with a wide range of colleagues/external stakeholders
